China’s Air China, China Southern and China Eastern are increasing domestic air cargo fuel surcharges by around 50 per cent following the recent crude oil price rise. They will now charge US$43.8 per ton, up from US$29 per ton. Other Chinese carriers are expected to follow. Aircargo Asia Pacific  

India's Kingfisher Airlines has launched a daily flight between Kolkata and Bangkok, Thailand. The airline says it hopes to capture a third of the traffic from incumbents Thai Airways International and Indian rival Jet Airways.
